This is why many people get confused. People think that schizophrenia is the same as multiple personality disorder, but this is not true.

WHAT HAPPENS

(SYMPTOMS):

- Person thinks they have special powers -

- hearing or seeing people talk to them in the day or night -

- often hear or see people talk to them more than just one day -

- say things that don't make sense -

- laughing even though something is sad (inappropriate affect) -

- social withdrawal not wanting to see friends or family -

- symptoms happen for a month or more -

- Disorganised behaviour such as, 'taking a shower with your clothes on' -

- The common age bracket for the onset of Schizophrenia in men is between 18 years and 25 years. For women, it is between 25 years and 35 years.
